Find What Puts You in the Zone
| Tell me about a time you were fully in the zone—energized, clear, totally absorbed. How would you answer that? Last week on the podcast, Outsider Coach Danica Koestner shared hers: working with young women aging out of foster care. She loses all sense of time, conversation flows, and connection feels effortless. When people ask how she knows what to say, she simply says, “I’m not thinking—I’m just existing in my strengths.” Danica would ask you the same: When did you last feel energized, absorbed, and fully yourself? What made that possible? Do you feel any glimmers of that today? If not, what changed—and what would help bring it back? To reignite that energy, start small: • Create white space—5-10 minutes of uninterrupted thinking. • Remove one drain—delegate or batch a task that pulls you out of flow. • Recreate the conditions—quiet, collaboration, creativity, connection—whatever helped your past flow moments thrive. |
